Hide Variable Products

Jordan Dayton

We purchased your swatches plugin but it appears to be conflicting with a WooCommerce plugin that we purchased to allow us to hide particular product variations based on role. https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/hide-variations-by-user-roles/

Any idea why that would conflict?

Hi Jordan Dayton,

Could you record me reproducing your issue using a tool like this? https://www.useloom.com It helps me to quickly figure out the issue and squash it immediately.

Thank you

Hi Jordan Dayton,

Could you please kindly do a plugin compatibility check by doing these steps to identify the error :

=> Deactivate all of your additional plugins except WooCommerce and WooCommerce Variation Swatches Plugin.

=> See if the problem persists. If the problem is resolved, you can tell which plugin might be the culprit of this error by activating your additional plugins one by one.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you

Hi Jordan,

Could you send us the latest version of the Hide Product Variations by Role plugin that you are using on your site. We’ll try to investigate your issue installing your plugin on our local setup.

You can upload the plugin file in Dropbox or Google Drive and send the download link here directly.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you

Jordan Dayton

Just wanted to check back in touch on this b/c we really need to be able to Hide Variations using that other plugin.

I’ve been trying to work with the Author of the “Hide Variations by User” plugin and I just received this from them, in response to my inquiries…

Thank you for letting me know, can you please ask its support which hooks are they using to show the variations? Or you can let them know, we use these 2 default WooCommerce hooks to hide disable the variations.

"woocommerce_variation_is_active" , "woocommerce_variation_is_visible"

Have you been able to identify what part of your plugin is preventing that plugin to work properly?

Jordan Dayton

Hey guys… just checking back as we really need to get this working before we start sharing our site more publicly…

Can you please help us with this issue, so your amazing plugin is not preventing this other plugin from working?  🙏

Hello Jordan Dayton,

I have transferred your issue to our development team and they will investigate your issue with our local setup.

It’s may take time, but we will bring you up to date as soon as we figure out this issue.

Thanks

Jordan Dayton

Thank you. We are anxious to get this working! Any chance it could be this week?

Hello Jordan Dayton,

I transferred your issue to our dev team, they are investigating your issue to our local setup. It’s may take time so I am requesting you to be patient.

Thanks

Jordan Dayton

Tanvirul,

My initial ticket was submitted a month ago. I think waiting for a solution for an entire month would be considered patient. I have not had any kind of confirmation that this is something that your team even plans to resolve. What I don’t want to do is keep being patient, only for you to come back to us another few weeks from now saying that you’re not going to make any change (even though the facts show that something about your plugin is preventing core WooCommerce functionality from working properly).

I feel like what I’ve presented is a bug and would like some kind of confirmation that it is… and it is being worked on… and that we can expect a solution? Is that possible?

Jordan Dayton

Hello… can we please get this ticket resolved?

It’s been 39 days since we submitted this ticket… without any progress. 😞
