Pre-Purchase : Which Image To Show For Color Attribute?

Hi,

I could find the ‘Auto Dropdowns to Image’ feature which would be very nice in our case. We intend to use this feature for rugs color attribute but there is also a shape attribute for rugs having variations as ‘Rectangle’, ‘Round’, ‘Runner’, … and each shape having many colors some of which are common with other shapes!

So which shape image will be shown as color swatches? Rectangle Images, or Round ones, or … ?

My favorite is shape images get shown according to the selected shape, but it’s also ok if only rectangle ones get shown.

We are at the moment of decision making to select the best plugin so would you please let me know the functionality of this plugin in this regard? And if this is controllable through filters and/or actions or not?

Thanks for reaching out to us. With the Pro version of Variation Swatches, you can change the shape of each product from here.

Initially from the global setting, it will square shape (unless you change the setting).

Thank you for your reply,

But I didn’t mean the swatch shape itself! I mean that the the images themselves have rectangle or round rug shapes as in the following image urls:

Hello Mehrdad,

Thanks for sharing the images. Unfortunately, we have these controls for Auto Dropdown to images.

From our perspective, the First attribute is a good choice.

We have no other control like square or round shape for Auto Dropdown to images.

Is there any hooking feature in your plugin so that we can use filters or actions?

Hello Mehrdad,

wvs_simple_setting_fields is the filter hook, we use for Default Image Type Attribute options.

To make them work here is the another filter hook wvs_variation_attribute_options_html
