Problems setting up Variation Swatches

I bought your plugin about a month ago, and I’m trying to set it up again after a miserable failure the first time.

While I’ve got it working, for the most part, I’m having some issues:

(1) My site speed has turned very sluggish since installing the plugin. I’m using WP-Rocket to improve my site speed, and it’s done a great job. But after installing your plugin my speeds have dropped significantly. In setting up WP-Rocket, they helped me correct some problems with store pages rendering quickly, so I know some of WP-Rocket’s speed optimizations of shop pages have been reduced to get things working well. Because of that, I also tried activating some of the caching options in your plugin, but that’s not working either. I’m hoping you have some answers since I can’t live with the sluggishness that my site is currently experiencing.

(2) The top of image swatches are getting cut off. I’ve tried all different kinds of fixes, but I can’t figure out why the swatch images are getting cut off. Here’s a screenshot of what I’m seeing:Ā https://share.getcloudapp.com/Apuz78jW

To help troubleshoot these I’m sharing a temp admin login.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Bruce,

I have made some adjustments to our plugin’s settings. Please check and confirm if the speed issue has improved.

To resolve the second issue, I have added custom CSS to your customizer.

Please check and confirm if the issues are resolved.

Thank You

Hi! I appreciate your help with these adjustments.

It looks like the speed issue is improved in some places, but thereā€™s still a big problem with many shop items. Hereā€™s a screenshot video I took that shows the problem Iā€™m seeing with some shop items.

In this example, the first item I tried experienced a 524 error. The second item I choose took over a minute for the page to finally show up.

Thank you in advance for your help in resolving this problem.

Hi Bruce,

I have investigated the issue for you again and found that the site is slow even with our plugin disabled.

I can see that you have lots of images for the product gallery, which of course contributes to the slow loading.

I would recommend trying with a few images to see if there are any improvements.

Another point is that you are using custom attributes and converting them into image-type attributes. Global image type attributes may also help improve the speed.

Here is a video I made during the test:Ā https://www.loom.com/share/21804a92cd564c07b9f42b690bf5118e

Sorry, it’s a long video.
