We would recommend you create a child theme.
We will add the solution to the child theme.
So future updates on your theme do not remove it.

Please make sure that you have used the default select type attributes for those products.
The Auto Dropdowns to Image feature works on the select type attributes.

Hi Albert,
It appears that you created/changed the color attribute as image types.
That is why you are getting this error.
From the product edit section, change the attribute to default select type by clicking on the Reset to default button.
Finally, update the product and check. You should see the images.
