You can enjoy this feature with the free version too but there is a limitation.
If you have lots of product variations then you will need the premium version. Try adjusting this number if you have more than 30/more variations.

I downloaded & installed the free version of the Variation Swatches for WooCommerce. Just wondering if Attribute behaviour is a free component or do you require the pro licence? eg “Blur with Cross”, “Blur without cross”, “Hide”. I have followed the documentation & it doesn’t seem to work.
