Is it required to have the Free Plugin installed along with the Pro Plugin?
My main concern is if the Free Plugin auto updates and the Pro does not, then this function in our stores is broken.
Is it a known issue that Pro plugin does not auto update?

You need to keep the free plugin installed and active. The premium one works on top of the free plugin.
We know that the premium one shows a delayed update notification. We are looking into this.
In most cases, we release an update for both versions. You can perform a quick check here to see if the premium has an update.

Pro plugin not automatically updating.

My Variation Swatches for WooCommerce – Pro is not automatically updating. The Free plugin does, which breaks the Pro plugin. My stores are in Multisite environment where all plugins are managed in Network Admin. The domain for Network Admin is same name used in my License. How do I resolve this?
Is Free Plugin needed when Pro plugin is being used?
