How can I get variations to only show once the previous variation has been selected?

Joshua Press

Hello, I am currently building a product with 3 variations which can seem very confusing to the customer. As they have a lot of different options that they need to select.

Is it possible to only show the first variation, then when it has been selected, show the next, then the next? This would make the process more like steps that the user has to follow. For example, I want this product to be like the below https://www.staging2.behotbox.com/product/hotbox-2-desk-organisers/

  1. User lands on the product and can see 1 variation called ‘Caddy colour’.
  2. When they select the ‘Caddy Colour’ the next available variations ‘Fabric Material’ appears and they know to select one
  3. When the user selects a ‘Fabric Material’ the available ‘Fabric Colours’ appear.

This ay the user isn’t shown the large about of colours which gets very confusing and the images don’t updated until all of the variations are selected.

Thanks

Hi Joshua,

Unfortunately, the feature is not currently available..

But it’s great idea. I’ve added it as feature request. I’ll discuss this feature with my team and make it available with the coming version.

Cheers!

ok, if this cannot be done, is there a way to stop all of the fabric colour variations showing? My client is incredibly unimpressed with the product showing over 10 swatches until the variation above is selected.

Thanks

Hi Joshua,

Could you please explain a bit more? I am sorry that I could not get your query.

Thank you
