Feature Suggestion for Improved Variation Management

Adir S

Hi GetWooPlugins Team,

I would like to suggest an improvement for your variation swatches plugin to help streamline product management for stores with multiple variations.

It would be very helpful to have an option to assign images globally based on a specific attribute, such as color. For example, if a product has three color options (e.g., BLACK, BLUE, GREY), I would like the ability to assign one image to all variations of the BLACK color, regardless of size (e.g., sizes 41, 42, 43, etc.), without having to upload the same image separately for each size variation.

Additionally, it would be great to have a “duplicate by attribute” feature, where I can easily duplicate all settings (images, pricing, etc.) from one color variation (e.g., BLACK) to all its related variations. This would significantly reduce manual work and make managing large catalogs more efficient.

I believe this feature could benefit many users who manage products with multiple attributes.

Thank you for your consideration!

Hi Adir,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

I would like the ability to assign one image to all variations of the BLACK color, regardless of size (e.g., sizes 41, 42, 43, etc.), without having to upload the same image separately for each size variation.

You can try this setup- https://www.loom.com/share/62bc4ee7ec2f46cc8f913ee1fee3cb63

We have already a plugin – Duplicate Variations for WooCommerce. You can check this screencast as a reference- https://www.loom.com/share/01af4ea6f0f742d0b6381916f4498e4d

I hope this will help.

Thank You

Currently, when assigning images to product variations, the plugin associates each image with a specific variation ID (e.g., #8930, #8929, etc.). This means that if I want the same image to appear for all variations of the same color (e.g., BLACK), I need to manually assign the image to every individual variation ID related to that color.

Instead, I would love to see an option where images can be assigned based on an attribute value—such as color—rather than the variation ID. For example, if I assign an image to the BLACK color, it should automatically apply to all BLACK variations regardless of size.

Hi Adir,

Currently, when assigning images to product variations, the plugin associates each image with a specific variation ID (e.g., #8930, #8929, etc.).

This is how WooCommerce works.

Our plugin is an extension of WooCommerce. So, we can’t bypass the core of WooCommerce.

I hope this explanation will help.

Thank You
