Limit to aditional variation images

Hi there,

I bought the pro plugin so I could add more than two extra images per variation. However, when I add more than 3 images to a variation the product page in question returns an error and nothing is visible on the frontend (only the header and footer). For example this url: https://creation.staging.kenmerk.studio/product/legging-vienna/

As you can see in the backend when you open this product and navigate to the variations I selected multiple images for the first variation. And as you can also see: the product page isn’t working. When you remove these extra images the product page works again.

Is there some value I need to increase on my server to make this work?

The error logs only throw a ActiveCampaign error, and when I disable that plugin the error logs remain empty but the product page still will not work.

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Please make sure you have configured the WPML correctly. I have checked your strings and found you didn’t translate all of the strings.

You can temporarily deactivate WPML String Translation for a test.

I can add extra images since I use the PRO version of your plugin, but whenever I exceed 3 images per variation (instead of the allowed 2 images per variation in the free version) the page stops working. So from 4 images and up the page ‘crashes’.

There are 9730 ‘untranslated’ strings. What strings should I translate, and why would that fix the problem?

I have tested it using only the Free version of our Additional Variation Images Plugin. That page is not rendering (WPML String Translation was activated) as expected even with the Free version. Therefore it seems the issue is not related to the Pro version or additional image insertion.

I didn’t say it would resolve the issue. I meant you should recheck your WPML settings. As you are using a multi-language site, there could be a misconfiguration with the WPML.

Hi Hakik,

On the website I provided you can check it with the PRO version. The free version is/was working. Please follow these steps:

Navigate to Products -> Legging Vienna
Navigate to Product Attributes -> Variations
As you can see this page is not working: Legging Vienna – Creation Sportswear (kenmerk.studio)
Now at the variations foldout the first variation (Beige – XS) and remove the third image (the image allowed by the PRO version).
Now reload this page: Legging Vienna – Creation Sportswear (kenmerk.studio)
As you can see it is now working.

The reason it is not working when you deactivate the PRO version is because the images I inserted with the PRO rights are not removed when simply deactivating the pro version. These image ID’s are probably still somewhere in the database. You have to remove the images to see that it works when the images are just 2 (so it works with the free version, but you have to remove the extra images from the variation first).

Hi Jessica,

The issue is randomly happening. I have added 3 images for Beige – XS, images are displayed well even with the WPML String Translation. But conflicting with MyParcel.

Now, it is happening if I add 4 images. Therefore, it is difficult to inspect. Most of the time, it happens for the cache. Please make sure, if you have a server-side cache. If so, flush it from the hosting settings.

You will see there that the issue happens for random reasons. In this type of case, we offer a refund.

After flushing the cache, if you are still facing the issue. Please open a private ticket with the order number and license key. So that, I can forward that to our Sales & Marketing team.
