Swatches Not Showing

Sherry Holub

Hi there –

We have installed the plugin on our testing server where we’re building out a site for our client. We made sure this isn’t a plugin conflict by testing all plugins. We then activated default WordPress theme and the swatches show, but they do not show on our custom theme. You can see on this link: https://volt24.jvm.design/product/volt-instant-beard-color/ If you hover your mouse to the right across from the word “shade” you can see flashes of Tool Tips.

We tried the following on our theme: Completely disabled all scripts and styles, and emptied out the entire functions file except for widgets.

However, that didn’t seem to make the swatches appear either. So we’re hoping you might be able to have a look and possibly determine what the conflict might be.

Hi Sherry,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

It is not recommended to use a custom theme if you are not aware of WordPress Theme Standard.

Instead of a custom theme, you should use a standard theme from WordPress.org or Themeforest.

From my inspection, you have no body class: https://paste.pics/QGR0C

You can check this screencast to know how to add a body class: https://www.loom.com/share/3d6c5142a3f34b96ae8cef119f39df98

Thank You

Hi Hakik –

This is not an “altered” theme and it’s not a block theme. It’s also not a theme meant for resale. This is customized to our client and we create our own layout builder with the Advanced Custom Fields Pro plugin, so a little different than the standard WordPress “theme”. If your plugin require the body_class to be added into the header.php file, then that would solve the problem. This is the first time we’ve bumped into this. Like I said, we usually do very specialized work, unique for each client.

Thanks,
Sherry
