Variation image issue

Hi,

We are using the additional variation images plugin on this site, but it has issues with the product image display.

As you see, the gallery does not show the product’s main image, which is the silver one by this product. Instead of that, it shows twice the golden and once the rose pictures.

We want to display all of the images by the variations, the preselected one should be the correct color, but the customers should pick other colors from the gallery.

Can you please give us temporary admin access to your site? We’ll try to investigate the issue for you.

You can add new users by going to Users > Add New set the user and password for us, set the role to admin, and set the info here.

Thanks for giving us the login credentials.

You have added 2 pictures for the product gallery and 1 main image for the product: https://paste.pics/PILDU

But you didn’t initialize the variation gallery by adding pictures for the specific gallery: https://paste.pics/PILE2

So, it is replacing the main image, not the thumbnail by changing the variations.

If you want to display only variation images by selecting the variations, you can remove them from here: https://paste.pics/PILEM

Then you will get only the main image and on selecting the variations you will get the corresponding images for the specific variation: https://paste.pics/PILEY

Thanks for the detailed answer, but that is not exactly what we want to achieve.

 

The problem is, that not all of the images are showing in the thumbnails when a variation was chosen. So I want to show the featured image and the product gallery in the thumbnails, and the variation image should be displayed when the color is chosen. Now only the variation image and the product gallery is available.

That’s why the variation images are not visible.

Our plugin will initially display the product image with the product gallery (when you have no default selection of variations)

Once you add images for a variation the specific variation gallery will be loaded upon selecting the variations from here: https://paste.pics/PILQP

I understand, that the images are not shown that I haven’t uploaded yet. But I would like to show those images that are uploaded for the main product and not only the variation images. The one variation image is displayed when the color is chosen, it is not problematic. The problem is, that the main product image is disappearing when the variation is chosen. It should remain in the thumbnails. There is an option for it in the settings, this checkbox is disabled so it should be good but is not.

Yes, this is how our plugin works. It will replace the gallery with the variation gallery. You want to keep both main and variation images on the thumbnail. Unfortunately, this feature is not currently available. You can send the feature request here: https://storepress.fider.io/

There is an option for it in the settings, this checkbox is disabled so it should be good but is not.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, you misunderstood the option. By enabling the option, our plugin will remove the feature image from the gallery. That option is for those who don’t want to display the feature image.
