I’m facing a huge delay before variation images change when selecting the variation swatches color on product page. I’ve created a Staging Site to test the pro version of the plugin because I need this feature.

 

Also the product archive page is taking so long to load. How do I optimize these?

Hi Victor,

Unfortunately, there is no workaround to make it faster.

When you click on one swatch it tries to find the possible matches.

After finding the match, it displays the image.

By the way, the response is fetched by the API. So, it also depends on your server speed.

It would be nice to show a loading gif on click.

the user might get confused when nothing happens for 3 or 5 seconds, but with a loading gif at least he would wait instead of trying to click all the buttons around.

Do you know how to implement this?

Hi Victor,

::before and ::after will not work with <img>

So, a loading gif can’t be implemented till we overwrite the default WooCommerce behavior.

But we have to think about a minimum of 100 themes and plugins before releasing an update.

I have already passed your request to our development team.

They will look into it and add it to their to-do list.

Unfortunately, I am unable to give any exact date for this implementation.
