Display variation attribute name on swatch

Hi
I would like to get the variation attribute name to display on each each swatch or below each swatch. So that when the swatches are all showing the visitor can see all the swatch names. On this site the variation swatches are colours for a product and there are 96 of them so it would be good for visitors to be able to see the colour swatches and also see the different names.
Would you have CSS that could achieve this?
Mocked up a layout of what I’m looking for is in additional info section.
