Auto configure variation images from printify

Is there a way to get this plugin to pick up and assign the variation images that are sent from printify?
or
does this have to be done manually which will mean thousands of variations even with a very small shop like I have now.
EG. I have manually done this for 1 tshirt in 1 colour and 1 size. This worked, but is very slow to do.
