Preview image not showing when another variation has no image

Hi there,
i’m facing a problem with your plugin Variation Swatches for WooCommerce.

When i’ve a product with multiple variation and one of them hans’t an image set, also the variations after are no more visible.

Let’s say my product has 3 variation.
Variation 1: set
Variation 2: not set
Variation 3: set

The variation 2 makes not visible also the preview of the variation 3.

Here a real life example:

Backend

Schermata 2023-04-27 alle 09.47.37.png

Frontend

Schermata 2023-04-27 alle 09.46.30.png

Variation 1011B621-402 is set but not visible.

Unfortunately we cannot avoid that some new products will have a missing photo for some days
What should i change in my settings?

Thanks

Hi Raffaello,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Our plugin serializes all the attributes and it skips and stops while you have a missing attribute term image.

So, you have to add all the images and you can’t skip a single attribute term to get it to work properly.

I hope it will help you to understand the plugin workflow.

Thank You

Hi Hakik,
sorry but this wasn’t the way the plugin worked for the previous updates.
We have choosen the plugin in the past also for this feature. Before, only the unsetted image was not displayed, while all the others where just fine.

New variations are in sync with an external software and, in a second time, we enter in wordpress setting images for swatches and galleries.
The plugin in the previous updates worked fine.

How can we solve that?

Hi Raffaello,

Yes, it worked before in the version 1.1 series. In the latest series 2.0, we changed our whole codebase due to optimizing the script. It helps to render the script faster than the previous version.

We had to change it like this for minimizing the speed issue. So, unfortunately, there is no workaround unless you add all the images for each attribute term.

I hope it will clear up your confusion.

Thank You
