please see our website and you can see the colour swatches showing with a random dot next to them. Any advice on how to fix?

I have noticed that you have a CSS issue with the <ul> tag, which is causing the list style for the <ul> to be forced. To resolve this issue, please add the following CSS code at Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:

.woo-variation-swatches ul.variations { list-style-type: none; }

Kindly note that this CSS code will ensure that the list style for the <ul> is removed.
