I think if you open the product more than one time then it goes much faster. The problem occurs when the product is opend the first time.
I also can provide a link to a video where you can easily see the problem.
Time 00:10 -> The site opens very fast – everything is fine
Time 00:17 -> The site with the product “Lena” opens very fast, but the attributes are still not choseable till time 00:26. That means it lasts 9 seconds before the product variant is completely loaded.
The same problem with the product “Mia” -> as you can see it lasts from time 00:42 to 00:51. That means it also lasts 9 seconds before the product variant is completely loaded.
The same problem with the product “Blanca” -> as you can see it lasts from time 01:09 to 01:18. That means it also lasts 9 seconds before the product variant is completely loaded.
Then I tried to open the same product “Blanca” a second time. It was much faster. It lasts from time 01.23 to 01:24. That means it lasts just 1 second before the product variant is completely loaded. That is fine!
Then I tried to open the same product “Blanca” a third time. It was much faster, too. It lasts from time 01.29 to 01:30. That means it lasts just 1 second before the product variant is completely loaded. That is fine!

Products with lots of attributes/variations may experience slow loading depending on the servers.
We have added support for object caching (Redis) and I think it is active on your server.
Do you have a caching plugin on your site?
A caching plugin may further improve page loading.

Load time with a huge number of attributes and variations

Hallo, thank you for the great variation swatches plugin – it is awsome. Even though I have one big issue. Unfortunately the load time of child products with a huge number of variations is extremely long. Not the time to load the site with the single product but the time before you customers can select attributes.

The product loads very fast but then it takes nearly 10 seconds – sometimes even 20 seconds – before I can select attributes. Sometimes it is not possible to select attributes before one button is pressed.
