For the second issue, you need to set the default value from here. This is controlled by WooCommerce.
You can rename the attribute title here, to make them more descriptive.
3. This is not possible at this moment. BTW, you can enable the clickable out-of-stock option to bypass this.

Understood. I found for item 1 that if I delete my variation, and re-create it, it fixes the issue. Somehow inside the code somewhere it must have been stuck on associating my product image to all of the products.
For item 2, I understand what you mean. Initially, I started with this. However, this would mean in my customers initial view of the product, certain items would be filtered off. Is there some way to automatically make a selection if there is only 1 choice? E.G. A customer selects the “Hunter Orange” color (where the only option available is Size “adult” & Type “6 Panel”), and it automatically makes the Size & Type selection for them? I would also like if the “clear” option was a more visible button that said “Clear Selections”. Are there styling options available for this anywhere?

Love the plugin! So many I have tried flat out have not worked. This was turn-key. Thank you! I have not configured all of my Products yet. Only my “Custom Trucker Hats” product.
That being said, I am noticing 3 nuances I would like support for.
1.
When I select the color, the image is not changing.
2.
This one is a little harder for me to articulate. I would like these to default to a selected field. Is this an option that is available? I just had a customer say “it won’t let me add to cart for some reason”. Another option would be the plugin has some type of noticeable text that says “Please select Type”.
3.
The way I have my settings, I only want the user to see what is available to them in that variety. E.G. If they select “Heather Grey / White” at the top, everything hides, except “Youth” size & “6 Panel” Type. I would like both Size and Type buttons to remain (and hide colors accordingly), rather than disappear. Is this an option available to me? The issue is you and I understand we have to click clear, but customers are not as… observant.
