Thanks for reaching out to us. Our plugin just displays swatches rather than the default dropdown. Creating or editing attributes is not a part of our plugin, it is a default behavior of WooCommerce.
You have to add attributes from the Attributes tab not the Swatches Settings tab. Please check the official documentation of WooCommerce on How to make the variable products: https://woocommerce.com/document/variable-product/
