Unfortunately, it is not currently available. Because you are displaying variation as a simple product. For example, T-shirt-Blue-M itself is a variation and it has no variation to display. But T-shirt is a variable product and it has s,m,l sizes with red, blue, and green color.
But it’s a great idea. I’ll discuss this feature with my team.

I think it could be usefull to always show to a customer the variations of the product, even if it on the variation itself.
Many e-shop (not wordpress website) but full developed website use this way to display their products for their customers so they never miss the variations.

On shop/archive page, swatch work for main product but not for variations

I want to display swatch colors for all my products.
My product have all variations so it’s better for me to only shop variations as single product but if I enable this option, the swatch colors doesn’t show anymore.
Is possible to have in the same time swatch colors showing up and only variations products as single product?
