My friend Mike uses the plugin and he is getting the 500 error too. And it’s just the basic plugin (not Pro). He is rolling it back now.
We did some googling and downgraded from 8.0 PHP to 7.4 PHP and it then allowed me to update to the new 2.0.12 version. Always something. So for now it looks to be resolved. I will keep you posted if something changes.

2.0.12 Returns a Critical Error and Takes Site Down

Hi. Every time I try to update the plugin to 2.0.12 it returns a critical error message and my site goes down. We put the old version of the plugin back in via FTP and the site comes back up. This is the error that WordPress sent in the recovery email:
