WPML compatibility issues

Hi,

 

we are using the pro plugin (updated to the latest version) and lately we are facing the following issue:

our e-shop is in two languages English & Greek, on the English version the variation swatches are working ok but the problems appeared on the greek version. More specifically on the shop page https://up-side.gr/product-category/rouxa/boufan/ and the product page https://up-side.gr/product/napapijri-rainforest-winter-jacket/ on the Greek version, all colour variation swatches are crossed out while they shouldn’t. If you witch to the english version you will see that there is availability for some colours:

GR: https://up-side.gr/product-category/rouxa/boufan/

EN: https://up-side.gr/product-category/clothes/jackets/?lang=en

And on a specific product:

GR: https://up-side.gr/product/napapijri-rainforest-winter-jacket/

EN: https://up-side.gr/product/napapijri-rainforest-winter-jacket/?lang=en

Hi Vagelis,

Firstly, check whether you have translated all your products correctly or not. Then, kindly do a plugin compatibility check by doing these steps to identify the error :

=> Deactivate all of your additional plugins except the WooCommerce, WPML, and WooCommerce Variation Swatches Plugin.

=> See if the problem persists. If the problem is resolved, you can tell which plugin might be the culprit of this error by activating your additional plugins one by one.

Hi,

 

we performed the updates required on WPML and the eshop was working but when we updated your PRO plugin to the latest version we get the following fatal error

 

Fatal error: Declaration of Woo_Variation_Swatches_Pro_Product_Page::get_item_css_classes($data, $attribute_type, $variation_data = []) must be compatible with Woo_Variation_Swatches_Product_Page::get_item_css_classes($data) in /home/upsidedev/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woo-variation-swatches-pro/includes/class-woo-variation-swatches-pro-product-page.php on line 131

Also before updating and while the eshop was functional with your previous version we were having issues on the images of the variations: while initially loaded, after your plugin started manipulating variations and stock units, the feature images on many products (on the archive products page) stopped being visible. Only the 2nd image (on mouse hover) per product was visible.

Upon deactivating your plugin all images properly appeared.

Any ideas?

We are sorry for your inconvenience. We have added some major changes.

Please download the latest (v2.0.12) Swatches PRO version and use it with the latest Swatches Free version (v2.0.12).

Then check whether your reported issue has been fixed or not.

Note: Before updating the free version please deactivate the pro version first. Then update the pro version manually and activate the pro version.

Thanks the fatal error has been resolved we are still facing the following issues:

As you can see even though the variation image is there as soon as your plugin takes action it becomes hidden.

also even though the product variations are not out of stock, they are displayed crossed out!

Hi,

please see attached. The items marked as out of stock do not display the feat photo (on mouse over the 2nd photo is displayed). If I change the stock quantity the photo is displayed again.

As you can see in the inspect panel, both photos exist (the feat photo and the 2nd photo that is displayed on mouse over).

What is wrong? Why when an item being out of stock hides the feat. photo?

Hi Vagelis,

You were using the JetPack lazy image loading feature.

It was the issue. Please try to use WordPress’s default lazy load feature to avoid abnormal behavior of image loading.

From WordPress 5.8, WordPress has a built-in lazy load feature.

Please check now and don’t forget to clear cache like- browser cache, caching plugin cache [WP Fastest Cache], and server-side cache [if have any].
