Hook impacting cache management

Hi Support Team,

We have discovered that you have included the compatibility of the cache removal if the website has the Litespeed Cache plugin activated and operating on your most recent updated version of the plugin (2.0.11).

We discovered that this hook is constantly clearing the cache event whenever a product’s tags, category, or characteristics are updated, changed, temporarily deleted, added or on deletion of the product transient. The litespeed cache purge all hooks are activated in above mentioned scenarios & this clears all of the website’s cache.
In our situation, the cache is frequently removed as we have the above scenarios very frequently. For the time being, we have commented the code and this has stopped clearing caches for now.

We have looked through the change log, but we couldn’t find any mention of Litespeed compatibility or cache removal that was highlighted. We advise keeping any settings that enable or disable this functionality so that other users do not experience these problems.

Below is the file name and the line number.

File :: woo-variation-swatches/includes/class-woo-variation-swatches-manage-cache.php
Line :: 53

Please could you confirm that this commenting of code will not cause any functionality issues of the plugin.

Thank you!

Hi Jean-Louis,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Yes, we cleared the cache as you mentioned in your ticket.

Otherwise, new products, tags, and categories will not load the latest product data after the changes you have made.

Please could you confirm that this commenting of code will not cause any functionality issues of the plugin.

Fortunately not, it will not break any functionalities.

BTW, I have already reported this issue to our development team. They are finding a better solution for this.

Maybe a feature will be introduced to turn on/off clearing caches for Litespeed. But it is just proposed.

I hope the above explanation will clear up your confusion.

Thank You
