JetSmartFilters compatibility issue

ilyas mussin

Hey,

So I was testing updates on a staging site (with Cloudways) and ran into some compatibility issues with JetSmartFilters.

If you select any colour filter here, the WVS swatches will disappear as shown in a video here. The custom code you guys provided earlier is no longer working:

jQuery(document).ready(function( $ ){
 $( document ).on( ‘jet-filter-content-rendered’, function() {
$( ‘.variations_form’ ).each( function() {
   $( this ).wc_variation_form();
        });
});
});

I followed up with JSF and they confirmed that the ‘jet-filter-content-rendered’ is the right event. Please help.

Hey guys, are there any updates to my ticket? Can’t update my live site because of this issue…

Hi ilyas,

We are sorry for your inconvenience. We were working on this issue. This will be fixed in the next release.

Please be patient. You can check the progress here- https://wptestbox.com/jet_filter/

Thank You

Hey, so I updated both plugins to 2.0.5  but the problem persists. Deleted browser/plugin level caches. Tried incognito mode, different browsers, PCs.

Here’s the catalog page, if expand the colour filters (third down from top left) and select any colour, the swatches under the product images will disappear.

Same login credentials work.

Please edit the custom js here.

Purge varnish here.

Hi ilyas,

We have released a new version 2.0.6. Please update and check if it resolves your issue or not.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Thank You

Thanks Hakik it’s working now but it’s extremely slow for some reason.. The website is on the local Vultr servers (Cloudways) and other parts of the website are fast.

The problem persists even after I unchecked this option: “Show default selected attribute swatches on archive / shop page.” So it’s not loading the “Default Form Value” anymore but it’s still very slow.

See this screenshot. Why is it loading the swatches? How do I make it faster or make those throbbers  go away? Thanks!

Hakik Zaman

Hi ilyas,

How many variations do you have on the first load?

Also how many products do you have on the first load?

Hope to hear from you soon!

Thank You

ilyas mussin

Hey Hakik, it’s 4×4 product grid loop on the first page with about 3-4 variations each (so about 60 variations) but I don’t think that’s the issue..

My staging site is loading way too long compared to my live site despite having more products there. Which is why I don’t want to push my updates over to the live site and make it slower..

How can I speed things up and remove the throbbers? As far as I remember it was blockui blockoverlay classes..

Hakik Zaman

Hi ilyas,

Can you please disable this option?

Then check if it speeds up your site performance or not.

Thank You

ilyas mussin

Awesome! It worked! Why was that checked by default? What does that thing do? Thanks again!

Hakik Zaman

Hi ilyas,

By enabling that option, swatches data will come using AJAX, and your page content will load without waiting for swatches data.

BTW, We really get excited & honored when you use our plugin on your site.

Hey Hakik, it’s still sometimes missing the swatches on variations in the upsells section under the “People also view” section at the bottom of the Reverie product page (screenshot, link).

It’s very important for our users to know that those products have additional variations. Please help me fix that. The same login credentials should work. Try Breeze > Purge All Cache (screenshot, link) if you don’t see any changes.

To edit Reverie and see its related products go to Products > Reverie > Product Data (post type: variable product) > Related Product > Upsell variations (screenshot, link).

To edit the single product template, go to Templates > Theme Builder > Elementor Single Product #967 > Edit (link).

The swatches are also missing on the single variations on the shop page (video recording, link) and that’s very important to show additional variation swatches too.

Templates > Theme Builder > Product Catalog > Edit (link).

Templates > Saved Templates > FILTERS: New colour groups > Edit with Elementor (link)

If you need to edit the JetSmartFilters, go to Smart Filters > Decor Patterns and Colour Variations

Hey guys, has there been any updates with regards to this issue? Just trying to let my users know that a product variation comes in other colours as well. This happens on the “Reverie” product page (see recommended products section) and when filtering by colour (i.e. when the website shows specific colour variations as per filters). I’d like my users to benefit from those same features: (1) see variation swatches and (2) click on them. Thanks!

Hakik Zaman

Hi ilyas,

it’s still sometimes missing the swatches on variations in the upsells section under the “People also view” section at the bottom of the Reverie product page (screenshotlink).

Swatches will not display if you select a variation for upsells. Because you are displaying a single variation, not the product. For Example, Marwari – Decor is a variation of a product, whereas Kiesel Servoperl royal grout is a product, not a variation.

The swatches are also missing on the single variations on the shop page (video recordinglink) and that’s very important to show additional variation swatches too.

You are trying to display swatches for a single variation. For Example, Abirate – Batia itself is a variation.

I hope this explanation will clear up your confusion.

Thank You

Hey Hakik, thanks, yes I am very well aware of that thank you very much, but I was wondering if it’s possible to show it on ‘post_type’, ‘product_variation’. Because if you click on any of those it’ll still take you to the same variable product page. That’s why it’s just as important to show it on product variations as it is on variable products, and way more important than showing it on single products which your plugin can do. Please advise, thanks!

Hakik Zaman

Hi ilyas,

Thanks for understanding. Yes, we have tried to display swatches for a single variation too.

But it was confusing for many users. Because swatches were not clickable for single variations. For example, T-shirt has 3 variations Red, Blue, and Green. If you displayed the T-shirt – Blue you can only choose blue but not the rest of the swatches like red or green. Because the product itself a T-shirt – Blue variation.

Then we change our minds and disable swatches for a single variation. BTW, it is a great idea. You can send this request here- https://storepress.fider.io/

I hope our Research Team will re-think it and push the development team to bring something like this.

Thank You
