I do have a staging site, I am currently using it to replace your plugin with another but it just isn’t as good as your plugin used to be…

If you install your updated version, you can disable WooSwatches – Woocommerce Color or Image Variation Swatches
Do you know whether changing from the older to newer version will cause all the data to be reset- in other words will I have to set up all the swatch options from scratch?

No, fortunately, you have no need to set up all the things from scratch.
We will run a migration once you install and activate the Swatches plugin.
If you allow me then I can install the latest (under-development) version on your staging.

I have created a login for you and updated the login details for the staging site.
The demo (staging) site is current, all you need to do is install your plugin. I only migrated the site to the live domain 4 days ago, then discovered there was an issue with the plugin, so the demo is the same as the live site currently.
If it works I can copy the plugin to the live site via FTP and double check it.

Okay, it seems to work without any noticable errors, but the functionality I most need is using image swatches not button or drop downs. Is there a pro version for this new update?

Hi there,
I would really like to use this plugin but am having issues with it that started recently. As you know WordPress just up[dated to version 6, and your plugin hasn’t been updated for 9 months. The site issues I have are all resolved when I disable your plugin.
I came here to purchase the full version to see if that would fix my issues, but unless you are planning to update your plugin in the next few days I am hesitant to do so…
Issues: when loading a category with products that have variations, the main menu does not properly display drop downs, and the admin bar also does not display drop downs.
The site is content restricted, so you won’t be able to troubleshoot, I just need to know if you intend to update this plugin or not.
