The image ID is added under each variation when you add an additional image to it.
You can use the default export/import option of WooCommerce to bulk update additional images.
I would recommend exporting the existing product with the additional gallery first to understand the pattern.

Hi there,
I’m trying to upload the images of the product attributes but I don’t really understand the logic behind. Does each Additional Image work with it’s own image ID?
What I’m basically trying to do is grouping all my product in 1 parent and several childs (with color and size) and I want each color to have it’s own image.
How can I upload it using a CSV? Right now every single element of each product is done this way. There should be a way to do the same with the add. images right?
