Hi Eckhard,
Thanks for reaching out to us. Sorting the attribute terms is the feature of WooCommerce.
Neither does the manually sorting of TERMS in Product-ATTRIBUTES.
It should work. You can check this screencast.
I know it is tough to sort the terms manually. But unfortunately, we have no feature or snippet to sort terms by SKU.
You can contact WooComemrce directly. I hope they can help.
Thank You
Sort Order of Swatches (attribute values)
Eckhard Rolf
Hi over there,
I already ask this question, but without an answer until now…
We use a WC-Shop (catalog mode) for displaying about 70 products with a lot VARIATIONS, using only one single ATTRIBUTE (=”Designation”, what is the title of the variation).
With WP All Import we imported all products with the option “All variations for a specific product have the same title. There are no parent products.” So every Variation has a unique SKU. The first variation is set as the default selection. Everything works fine from the settings of your plugin, but I cannot see an option for the SORTING of the Variation values. I don’t understand, where the Variation-IDs are coming from. Manually sorting of variations on product level doesn’t change anything in the frontend. Neither does the manually sorting of TERMS in Product-ATTRIBUTES.
In any case, manual sorting should not be a solution for the customer in view of the large number of variants.
Is there an option somewhere or a script-snippet, to sort ex.g. the Variations by their SKU ascending from left to right automatically?
Any help would be appreciated.
Eckhard
