can’t see the plugin working when logged out + question

Hi, thanks for the plugin. I purchased it today.

I have 2 questions:

  1. I can see the plugin working only when logged in my website, while, on incognito mode and not logged in, the website looks like the plugin is deactivated. I would like to show the plugin results to everyone not only to logged in users.
  2. I have 2 variations for my product: color and size. I need to show both on the product page but only the color variation in the shop/catalogue/category page, how can I do this? Note: all the products have the same sizes (3 different sizes per all the product: a4, a3, b2) but every product has different/unique color (for example, product 1: black, grey, white – product 2: red, yellow, black).

For the question 2 I am attaching screenshots to show how it looks like but indications on I need it to be.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Best Regards,

Federico – www.petroltribe.com

Hi Federico,

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

To show a single attribute on the shop page, please follow this tutorial.

Can you please give us temporary admin access to your site? We’ll try to investigate the issue for you.

You can add new users by going to Users > Add New set the user and password for us, set the role to admin, and set the info here.

And add your site URL, login username, and password in the site login area. Follow this guideline: https://www.useloom.com/share/27c1f2ac633c4060b2da883d946107d7

Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi, I created an admin user accessible from this link: https://www.petroltribe.com/wp-admin

user: getwooplugins

password: %o0c$k02J#QMh4ri

I already saw that video, thanks for sharing, but I don’t think it may solve the problem because for a product I have certain color attributes, for another, other ones…. so I can’t select only ONE attribute to show…. Please re read my ticket

Best

Federico

For example, in the shop page I need to show both: F40 Bonnet View Colors + F40 Top View Colors but NOT the “Print Size” attribute….

In the product page I need to show

for “F40 Bonnet View” the attributes “F40 Bonnet View Colors ” + “Print Size”
for the product “F40 Top View” the attributes “F40 Bonnet TopColors” + “Print Size”

Plus, I have other products where I need to show other attributes in product page or shop (For example, t-shirts)

If I understood the video, it looks like what you are saying after second 1.56 in the youtube link you shared. But in my backend I don’t have the options like in that video….

Hi Federico,

The shared credential did not work.

What do you see here?

Can you verify if you have the latest versions of our Variation Swatches plugins?

The latest versions are:
Variation Swatches for WooCommerce - 1.1.19
Variation Swatches for WooCommerce PRO - 1.1.18

Thank You

Hi, try again with the same credential, I tried to login and it works now.

user: getwooplugins
password: %o0c$k02J#QMh4ri

I have installed “Variation Swatches for WooCommerce Version 1.1.19” and “Variation Swatches for WooCommerce – Pro Version 1.1.18” so, latest updates.

But please read again what I wrote before. I have different attributes to show for different types of product and different products. Again:

in the /shop/ page I want to show (examples):

for the t-shirts the different colors as small thumbnails (attribute slug: color) but NOT the sizes (attribute slug: size)
for the prints I want to show the different colors available for the different prints (for example for the product “f40 bonnet” the colors I created with the attribute “f40-bonnet-view”, for the product “f40 top view” the colors under the attribute slug “f40-top-view”) but NOT the sizes (slug name “print-size”)

while in the individual product pages I want to show (examples):

for the t-shirts both the attributes “color” as images and “size” as dropdown menu
for the prints (f40 bonnet > the colors in the attribute “f40-bonnet-view” as colors – for the “f40 top view” the colors with the attribute slug “f40-top-view”) and also the sizes as dropdown, slug name “print-size”

Clearer than this, with all the messages, text and screenshots that I have, I can’t be. The situation with this plugin is starting to be quite frustrating.

Regards,

Federico

Hi Golam, I don’t see why I have to keep as global attribute the color of the t-shirt…. I don’t really like that it is like this, but looks like all in all what you did solved the problem so I am very thankful… Is there a way to leave no global attribute? It’s ok for me to change every tshirt attribute as you did for the 2 prints…

Thank you for your kind help

Federico

Hi Federico,

First of all the option must be enabled globally and the ability to select a global attribute helps most shop owners to achieve the goal in a few clicks.

Secondly, I have just checked.

If you leave the Global option empty like this, it also works.

You can also place a dummy attribute there, as a placeholder. An attribute with no terms and not used for any products (just a thought, leaving it empty should be fine).

Let me know your thoughts.

Is there anything else I can do for you?

Thank You

I have just one last question. Looks like the problem 1 of the ticket is back: when logged in as admin I can see all the modifications live, while on incognito mode/logged of no… the shop page is ok, the product page no….?! I did the change 30mins ago

Hi Federico,

This can be due to a plugin conflict.

Please kindly do a plugin compatibility check by doing these steps to identify the error :

=> Deactivate all of your additional plugins except WooCommerce and WooCommerce Variation Swatches Plugin.

=> See if the problem persists. If the issue is resolved, you can tell which plugin might be the culprit of this error by activating your additional plugins one by one.

Can I do the test on your site?

Thank you

I think the issue was caused by a caching plugin, once deactivated, all the images have been updated. Luckily it was the first one I deactivated and immediatly saw the updates on.

You can close the ticket. Thank you very much again.
