Hi Erica,
Changing the image/ Loading image is not a feature of our plugin, is the feature of WooCommerce itself.
Could you temporarily disable our swatches plugin and check is it working without our plugin or not?

Variations do not show if not in main product gallery of woocommerce

Hello,
I am very happy with your plugin so far, and hoping that a slight issue can be resolved.
I have a product with many different colour variations (8 total). I have about 3 images for each colour, showing different angles. I prefer to show only one picture of each colour on the main gallery, and then the additional pictures show up when the colour is selected.
So far, I have this working. The variation swatches are set, and when I choose my colour option, I can see all the options in the side gallery. HOWEVER – for the images that are not uploaded in the main woocommerce product gallery, the image does not actually upload and show on the product page when it’s clicked.
