Product image preview replaced by first variation image

Hi there,
Just as the subject describes, our displayed product image is replaced by the first variation image in shop page preview. We have an overall image for the product (a photo of all variations together), which is different from the variation images.
The product image was displaying correctly prior to installing. I suspect this is a simple setting adjustment in the plugin, but haven’t found it yet. Any help is much appreciated!
