Here’s a screencast showing the issue. When the first variation is selected, no stock quantity is shown (it’s not in stock). When the second variation is selected, it shows that there’s 1 in stock.
Hi Eric,
Can you please temporarily deactivate our Swatches plugin and check how it behaves without our plugin?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thank You
Without the plugin activated, no swatches appear so it’s impossible to select a variation. Which of course is to be expected…
Hi Eric,
Deactivate the swatches and try the same product on the single product page.
Then check how it displays the stock message after selecting dropdown.
Our plugin just works the same as WooCommerce does. It just displays the stock on the archive.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thank You
Without the plugin active, the same behaviour occurs on the single product template page. I guess this means the bug is in the theme. Thanks, I’ll inquire with the theme developer.
Hi Eric,
Glad to know it helped you to identify.
We get excited & honored when you use our plugin on your site.

How to display “Sold out” if variation has no stock?
Eric Embacher
Before a variation is selected, no stock information is shown. When a variation is selected that has stock, the quantity in stock is shown (“ex. “4 is stock”). However when a variation is selected which has no stock, no information is shown. Therefore it’s ambiguous whether the product has stock available or not. How do I display some text, (ex. “Sold out”) when there is no stock available for a variation?
