Limit attribute swatches on archive/shop pages

Hi – is there a way to limit which attributes have a swatch on the shop/archive pages? It seems you can only have all of them, or none of them. We use two attributes, colour and size, and I would like the colour swatches shown on the shop/archive pages, but not the size, which should only be shown in the individual product pages.
Is this possible?
