Woocommerce variation images not working

Calum Yuill

I am trying to get a basic variation working for a single product but can not get the image to switch when choosing an option.

I have tried using a custom link, attempting the wp-content url and also the permalink but still I do not see the image switching.

Any ideas?

Also having an issue where the side gallery is not aligned and is cut off, the first image can only just be seen, it is clickable but is only a couple of pixels. There should be 2 images there. When resizing the window it seems to pop in.

Hi Calum,

Please kindly do a plugin compatibility check by doing these steps to identify the error :

=> Deactivate all of your additional plugins except WooCommerce and WooCommerce Variation Swatches Plugin.

=> See if the problem persists. If the issue is resolved, you can tell which plugin might be the culprit of this error by activating your additional plugins one by one.

And don’t forget to add your site login details in the site login details area. I’ll check what’s happening there.

You can add new users by going to Users > Add New set the user and password for us, set the role to admin, and set the info here.

And add your site URL, login username, and password in the site login area. Follow this guideline: https://www.useloom.com/share/27c1f2ac633c4060b2da883d946107d7

Hope to hear from you soon!

Thank you

Hi Calum,

Changing images is not a feature of our plugin, it is a feature of WooCommerce itself.

Could you disable our Swatches plugin and check whether it works without our plugin?

Thank you

Calum Yuill

We only have 1 product that uses the variation and it has multiple issues. Every other product is a single product and has zero styling issues. Would it be better if I just stop using the plugin and make 2 versions of the product we need with variation?

Hi Calum,

Yes, you can create two simple products to bypass the issue.

We can investigate the issue for you if you give us temporary admin access to your site.

You can add new users by going to Users > Add New set the user and password for us, set the role to admin, and set the info here.

Add your site URL, login username, and password in the site login area. Follow this guideline: https://www.useloom.com/share/27c1f2ac633c4060b2da883d946107d7

Thank you, it would be nice to be able make use of the variable product. Appreciate your offer of taking a little look.

I have updated the ticket with site details.

Thanks again.

Calum Yuill

I contacted the theme creators and they think the issue is with the plugin.

Calum Yuill

Thank you but where did you add that image? I don’t see anywhere in the UI to add images there?!

Calum Yuill

Insane! Thank you. I can’t believe I missed that icon. Might be worth putting a little title next to it saying ‘Variation image goes here’ or something, you know what I mean? Still, I thought I looked through everything and I missed it. Thanks again, your help appreciated.

Best wishes,

Hi Calum,

I also think it is a good idea. Unfortunately, we don’t have control over it.

It is controlled by WooCommerce itself.

We get excited & honored when you use our plugin on your site.
