Variation Swatches Issue

Hi, We have successfully added swatches / variations and add to cart button to the shop archives, but are having problems setting the same up on a product carousel. We have partially resolved this by using the shortcode:

[wvs_show_archive_variation]

But this only displays the variations and not the add to cart button, which we need. We have tried adding a standard Add to Cart button, but this does not connect with the product variations and simply links to the single product page rather than adding the selected products to the cart.

Is there shortcode available (or html) to add the variations plus add to cart? Or is there an alternative way to resolve this issue?

Unfortunately, the add to cart button is the default behavior of WooCommerce. You will learn more about the add-to-cart shortcode from here: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/#add-to-cart

It is redirecting to the single product page because you have enabled an option from Elementor Widget settings. Please check this screenshot: https://paste.pics/PIL97

Please check your widget settings to disable the link from the product card.

What we need is for the product cards on the carousel to work exactly the same as the ones on the shop archive page (https://wordpress-540557-3335663.cloudwaysapps.com/shop-2/) – swatches with add to cart button, as shown in the documentation here: (https://getwooplugins.com/documentation/woocommerce-variation-swatches/#how-to-enable-swatches-on-archive-shop-page-premium). In order to add this to the carousel we would need to be provided with the relevant html or shortcode (the current shortcode provided does not include an add to cart). I am aware that the default add to cart button in WooCommerce does not work with the swatches/attributes/variations, so has now been removed.

 

We still need visitors to have the option to click on the full product card to link through to the single product page if they want to see the full product description, so we want to keep that link in place.

 

In short, we need the product cards on the carousel to work exactly the same as the ones on the shop archive page

In order to add this to the carousel we would need to be provided with the relevant html or shortcode (the current shortcode provided does not include an add to cart).

As I said before, add-to-cart is not the functionality of our plugin. You are using Elementor and JetWooBuilder. They have the add-to-cart widget. Now, I have added the add-to-cart widget for you for the slider/carousel like this: https://paste.pics/PJDCK

Please check now and don’t forget to clear your caches like- browser cache, caching plugin cache, and server-side cache.
