Hi Myriam,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
But if I select the color first, it takes quite a long time to display te large image
It depends on many things like- the image size, server response, etc.
Thank You

I don’t think it comes from image size or server response because it is the same images and same server on both sites. Moreover if I select the size first, the images of color variations are displayed immediately and I don’t see the Ajax wheel. The delay is only if I select the color first.
Hi Myriam,
Are you using the same versions for the sites?
Thank You
I’ve done a Loom for you to see: https://www.loom.com/share/87b33dbcffe045159a53e7ce29d48b9b
No I don’t use te same version. On the old site I have 1.1.18 and on the new one 2.0.12. If the issue comes from the version for me the old version works better than the new one…
Hi Myriam,
We have updated our codebase for the new version.
Now, we use ‘Ajax requests‘ to optimize page speed.
It will load data on demand and will not load at the time of page load.
I hope it will clear up your confusion.
Thank You

Myriam DECOURT
Hi,
I have recently bought a licence for Variation Swatches for WooCommerce which I’ve been using for a while on another website and I love this plugin. On my new project I have a strange behaviour even if I tried to use the same settings as on my other website. I’ve setup 2 attributes (color and length) the display is good on the product page. When I select the size first and then the color, the image corresponding to the color is displayed in large format with no delays on my main image area. But if I select the color first, it takes quite a long time to display te large image and I have the Ajax wheel. I didn’t have that on my other website. Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong ?
Thanks.
