Unfortunately, the feature is not currently available. It is the basic behavior of WooCommerce.
But it’s a great idea. I’ll discuss this feature with my team.

You have enabled Single Variation Image Preview correctly and selected “Material“.
Here is an example:
Suppose you have 3 attributes- Color, Size, and Logo.
In WooCommerce, you have to select Color + Size + Logo to change the main image. But using this option you can change the image by selecting Color or Size or Logo.
You can check this tutorial for more clarification.

If I select a material nothing happens. If I select gemstone nothing happens. Only if I chose both the picture changes.

There are lots of themes providing their own gallery feature. It is difficult to compatible with each.
If I give you a test site can you reproduce/regenerate your issue there? I can refer this to our development team to check.

I have never done something like that before, but I could give it a try. The test site would need to have the Avada Theme installed, correct?
And yes, I did not clear the cache. I saw what the new gallery looks like and got a shock. I did not want to spend again hours and hours to check how it works and how I have to change the sizes within the new plugin so it looks like the gallery I had before.

Before I send the issue, I have activated the Gallery Plugin and configured the settings to look like your current gallery. You can check your site now, please clear your cache before checking.

The issue is not with your parent theme. The issue is coming from your custom child theme.
So, contact your developer regarding this issue. You can check this product you made, click on any color variation.
You can also temporarily activate your parent theme to check.

Then check the functions.php file of your child theme. By removing hooks one by one to identify this issue.
It is not an issue from our side, because everything is working fine on your main theme.

Hi,
I have many customers who click on variation options but only on one (even if there are several variations to chose from on the single product page). E. g. if I have a product with the variation “material” and “gemstone”, they click only on gemstone and if nothing happens they leave the site.
I have activated the “single variation image preview”. I would like that if a customer clicks on a variation, something happens – it doesn’t matter what. I’ve tested it on https://purajoya.ch/en/product/anhaenger-lisa/ but I assume I have done something wrong?
