Gallery is loading again on variation change

Hi Team

We’re facing a problem with the plugin. Here’s the link to the product page

Now we’ve set videos in the main product’s featured gallery and no videos are there in the variations. However, every time a variable is changed, the gallery loads again.

The problem with this is that whenever a user selects a different variation, instead of focusing on price getting changed, they are now focusing on the gallery that’s loading and again.

Is there something that can be done about this?

Hi Aditya,

I found it is not loading now from my side. I mean the loading spinner is not visible right now.

Can you please give us temporary admin access to your site? We’ll try to investigate the issue for you.

You can add new users by going to Users > Add New set the user and password for us, set the role to admin, and set the info here.

Hi Aditya,

You didn’t add videos for the variations. That’s why videos are not changing on select specific variations.

Check this screencast and add a video for each variation to get it to work.

No, my question here is that even when I have added no gallery in variations, the video player on the page still loads again when I change a variation from 30 seconds to 60 or 90 seconds.

If the entire gallery is in the main product then during the change of variation, gallery shouldn’t load again. But it’s happening right now.

Hi Aditya,

So, your problem is why the video loads again after changing the variation.

When you created a variable product, it displays variation in a dropdown. On changing the dropdown a trigger is fired to check if it has any variation image or not.

That’s why it loads each time to get the image/video (to check if this variation has any image or not). This is how the gallery plugin works.
