I was able to fix the error with a setting in imagify.
In fact it was the conversion to WEBP format. In imagify there is a setting to display the WEBP images with a “rewrite rule”. But I had used the <picture> HTML tag recommended by imagify.
The disadvantage would be that a CDN would not work anymore. Since I currently do not plan to use a CDN, this is OK for me.

Image don’t change on variation select when images are optimized by imagify plugin

Hi,
your plugin Variation Swatches works great the images on the product page are changed when a variation is selected.
This changes when you use the plugin imagify https://wordpress.org/plugins/imagify/ to optimize the images at the same time.
As soon as I optimize the product images with the plugin imagify the featured image is no longer swapped to the variant images. If you click on the product image, the correct variant image is displayed in a lightbox. If you delete the featured image of the product everything works but then no image is displayed on the product page until you select a variant.
Is it somehow possible to use both plugins at the same time?
Info: The images are PNGs and are possibly also converted to WEBP by imagify.
The product page is build with elementor
The product image is shown by CrocoBlock JetProduct Gallery Slider but the same issue is shown in the elementor build in product image widget.
