Variation Swatches + Variation Images compatibility with Gallery Grid Widget

Hey guys,

So I already have your Variation Swatches plugin … And if I couple that with the Additional Variation Images plugin …

… Would I be able to make it work with this product gallery plugin? And if so, how? Their developers are unsure so I am reaching out to you guys for ideas.. Or maybe it could even be possible to display product images like that without other 3rd party plugins?

All four images and at the same time, can that be done?

Unfortunately, the feature is not currently available..

​But it’s great idea. I’ve added it as feature request. I’ll discuss this feature with my team and make it available with the coming version.

Thanks. How long do you think it may take you to add that feature request? I can probably wait for some time.

You know I’ve had a look at this core woocommerce extension plugin for additional variation images and it changes all four “thumbnail” images in the default Woocommerce product images widget: https://www.screencast.com/t/11ljiN5lHq. But their plugin does NOT change all four images on the Gallery Grid widget so I’ll probably request a refund this week. (Their support was horrible unlike you guys, Elementor Pro support, Crocoblock and Addify.)

But here are the hooks and js they’re using: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-additional-variation-images/#section-9 and more developers’ info https://codex.wordpress.org/Plugin_API/Hooks. Hope that gives you some clues as to how they change all images at the same time. 

In the mean time, is there a way to style the default woocommerce product images widget with custom CSS so that they all change at the same time like so: https://www.screencast.com/t/dsQCJWwp

Is there any other workaround to achieve this? Maybe with some custom js, php snippet or an template’s xml file? How about adding four different product image widgets and have them pull different variation images? I don’t know, I am just trying to brainstorm for solutions..
