I have read all the posts about importing variation images and I understood that the plugin doesn’t offer that featuring yet.
I have contacted WP All import regarding to this.
This is what they answered “If this plugin were used: https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-additional-variation-images/ – you could enable the following option in the “Variations” tab: https://d.pr/i/Hvtxhq
Otherwise, custom code would have to be used with our API to assign gallery images to variations.”
I am planning to use the swatch variation together with the aditional gallery plugin. So for that reason I wouldn’t like to get one plugin from official Woocomerce and the other one from you guys. It would have been easier to get those 2 from the same developer, in order to avoid conflicts and get better support.
Once there’s a big interest from many users to have the import featuring, I wonder, couldn’t you guys provide that bit of code so we can paste it into the functions field in the WP All import settings? It’s quite good quick fix, don’t you think?
In the import process there’s a field called custom fields, where we can import additional values, that are not in the core of the plugin. See below
However, the WP All import plugin still doesn’t recognize this field and nothing is uploaded, I think it’s because we need that code in the functions, telling WP all import to read that field. I can’t write PHP. I am sure you guys can get this sorted in no time 🙂
Have a good day!
