We have just installed the plugin. We have noticed that when some customers order by selecting the colour and size variation directly on the shop pages, rather than on a product page, and then use Apple Pay. The variation does not get recorded on the customer order and our stock is not corrected. We then have to contact hte customer to ask them what size and colour they wanted.
Our payment processor is Stripe and our Apply Pay is set up through this. It seems that we have the same issue as this person here: https://getwooplugins.com/ticket/874/#noopener%20prettyPhoto%20nofollow/0/. However, we have https enabled on our site so I don’t understand.
Hi CARL ROBERTS,
Could you record me reproducing your issue using tool like this? https://www.useloom.com
It helps me to quickly figure out issue and squash it with immediately.
I don’t see how a video is going to reproduce the issue. I would need to record myself doing a transaction on my mobile, using Apple Pay – which I don’t want to do, I don’t want people seeing my financial details.
I can send you examples of orders placed with payment by Apple Pay and you will see that the variation details are not given on the SKU code.
I’ve done a seach on Google and it seems that this plugin might not be compatible with Apple Pay. Can you confirm?

Can you please confirm that your plugin is compatible with Stripe Payments (who use Apple Pay)? I’ve had someone look into this and many people seem to have the same issue between Apple Pay, using Stripe Payments as a gateway and your plugin. We’ve just installed the plugin so I need to decide whether to uninstall it.
It’s not our plugin issue. Check here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/stripe-gateway-plugin-breaks-my-site/
Please enable SSL to use Stripe plugin you need SSL.
We have SSL enabled on Stripe and we have SSL on every page of our website.
Apple Pay worked perfectly fine, until we installed your plugin. It is therefore some kind of conflict with your plugin. But it is not an SSL issue.
Could you update your premium version of the WooCommerce Variation Swatches to 1.0.46 and also the WooCommerce to 4.0.1 ? Please remember to disable your cache plugin before updating those plugins.
The plugin WooCommerce Variation Swatches has been removed – we are replacing it with your plugin.
WooCommerce has been updated to 4.0.1.
We can’t update WooCommerce Variation Swatches to 1.0.46 because the pro version is supposed to be on automatic update but there is no update available on our installed plugins screen.
I’ve updated your plugin. Check now.
Hi. I’ve done a test transaction. The SKU still shows only the parent product SKU on the order in WooCommerce and not the variation SKU (with colour and size).
Thank you for reaching out to us. Please kindly do a plugin compatibility check by doing these steps to identify the error :
=> Deactivate all of your additional plugins except WooCommerce, Stripe and WooCommerce Variation Swatches Plugin.
=> See if the problem persists. If the problem resolved, you can tell which plugin might be the culprit of this error by activating your additional plugins one by one.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
